By Dutch standards you have to be in South-Limburg for the feeling of mountain biking, but which track do you choose? The MTB track Epen is a track where the holiday feeling is generated by the scenery, trails with present a challenge which is above average and the most altitude differences of any Dutch MTB track.

Just a few kilometers from the Dutch border of South Limburg is where you find the MTB tracks Aubel. The hilly environment like South Limburg continues and becomes more pronounced, resulting in a route of 35km and 568vm. This sounds interesting at first but don’t have your hopes up too high for the MTB track Aubel.
Steep climbs, challenging descents and flowy trails ensure that the MTB track Strijthagen is a very complete track. This is definitely not suited for novice riders and even experienced mountain bikers will find a challenge. For Dutch standards Strijthagen can be considered as a "real" mountain bike track.
Mountain biking across the hilly landscape with beautiful scenery away from the crowded city, this is the MTB track Sint Geertruid. You'll pass picturesque villages, ride on the asphalt, country roads and sporadically a single trail. It's not a pure novice track but by South Limburg standards it can be considered a novice track.
Gulpen, a place in South Limburg known for the Gulpener brewery, has a mountain bike track where you have to stay sober. Steep climbs and technical descents make this 23km and 550 vertical meters counting track mountain bike worthy.
A moorland area provides opportunities for beautiful MTB track, place it in an area with more altitude differences like South Limburg and you have the MTB track Brunssummerheide. Flowy singletrails, short steep climbs and some technical challenges makes the MTB track Brunssummerheide a recommendation in South Limburg.
The MTB track Mechelen is an easy MTB track in South Limburg with a few altitude differences. Asphalt, wide roads, gradual climbs and lack of single trails make that this track is suitable for novice mountain bikers. However, experienced mountain bikers can still enjoy the scenery.
The MTB track Maastricht allows you to quietly enjoy the scenery. Challenging climbs and technical trails are not something that you come across during the track, instead you can enjoy the typical countryside of Limburg. Not far is the MTB track Nuth if you're into more novice MTB tracks.
The mountain bike track Margraten offers altitude differences as you would expect from the south of Limburg but packed in a track that’s ride able by novice riders. Singletrails are rare on this track and climbs aren’t that steep (with a single exception). Enjoying the scenery is the main selling point of this track.
